Congratulations to the children from years 1 and 2 who shared their work in our celebration assembly today. We had impressive writing and mathematical skills.
We are pleased to share that two of our Year 5 children have won prizes for the world book day competition that the Rochdale MP Paul Waugh ran for all schools in Rochdale. One of the children was the overall winner and another child received a highly commended award.
We had an amazing KS2 assembly celebrating the work of the children. The children have been working so hard and we are really proud of their achievements.

Congratulations to those children who shared their fantastic work in our celebration assembly this week. The children shared their Maths, Art, DT and English with their parents and the rest of the school - all of which was outstanding.
Year 1 have been exploring sculptures. They looked at the work of Samantha Stephenson who is an Australian artist and uses bright colours to make sculptures. Using paper we explored how to make cylinders of different sizes.
Our school took part in the cross country competition against other schools. Our year 5 girls came 3rd, our year 6 girls came 2nd and our years boys came 1st. Congratulations to all those who took part.
Our children have had a super week celebrating World Book Day. They have listened to books read by older children, listened to stories read by teachers and completed a book competition. They have also produced some amazing work based on a story.
On Thursday 13th February, 10 Year 5/6 children took part in a school netball tournament. They were amazing and managed to win all of their games! It was fantastic to see them putting everything they had practised over the half-term into the matches.
