At our Summer School today: David McLoughlin leading a workshop on the way of Christian living set out in the first-century _Didache_, and its relevance to the Church today.

We were encouraged to explore the work of Romano Guardini, and to take seriously our mission to promote the reformed and renewed liturgy, the sole expression of the Church's lex orandi.
We were hugely privileged today to have Cardinal Arthur Roche deliver the annual James Crichton Memorial Lecture, 'Interpreted by love: liturgical formation and participation in the light of Desiderio Desideravi', a superb exposition of Pope Francis's 'love letter to the Church'.
We have only scratched the surface of 'full, conscious and active participation' in the liturgy since the Council. Our celebrations fall short if they are so corporeal as to be meaningless, or so spiritual as to be devoid of practical consequence.
Three days of keynote lectures, workshops, Mass and other liturgical celebrations, on the theme 'Talking, Listening, Responding: the call to be a synodal church'.
We're coming to the end of our annual Summer School in liturgy and music, held this year – in person instead of on-line for the first time in three years – at Belsey Bridge on the Norfolk/Suffolk border.
