@maksimologija Hearing this stuff and the arguments back and forth make me realize Orthodoxy is more of a mess than people think. I want to be orthodox but the more “issues” and problems I hear make me realize Catholicism isn’t any worse or better. Sad to see
We must focus on humility and repentance. So many Christians are full of pride and hate. An old lady in the pews who you think has never done wrong can be more abominable to God than a prostitute if she goes home festering in hate and disgust silently. Be holy, love God and ACT
@TaylorRMarshall@YouTube Session 13 does not state it specifically; I know this isn’t the catechism of Trent but is part of the council. I thank you for responding though. Could you help me understand where in Trent this is stated? I know of Christ’s teaching and it’s still a major assumption from us
@AdamChenal33 @TaylorRMarshall Or you could actually use the most ancient of them all and help the eastern Catholics get awareness by understanding that St John’s liturgy is ages and ages more ancient. Latin Mass isn’t that ancient at all. Maybe the Galician rite but that is still centuries off St John
@TaylorRMarshall I’m so tired of your nonsense about the TLM is better than anything on the planet. Yes NO Mass is terrible. But the Divine Liturgy is not only exponentially earlier than any Latin liturgy but actually a prayer for the entire thing. The east doesn’t want the Fillioque get over it
@kennedyhall @RealEricMcCabe Yes it’s called the liturgy of Saint John Chrysostom. Give up this nonsense that the TLM is the mass of the ages. Maybe in your tradition for the last (if you stretch it to the point of lying) 500 years. Give it up and give up the western infiltration. Everyone needs to go EC
@TaylorRMarshall You gotta let this Latin stuff go. I agree the NO Mass isn’t going to help anyone but Latin will not save souls. The Eastern liturgies in English actually allows English speakers to worship the Lord properly.
The quicker you realize that the first step of Theosis, meaning Illumination, has not been accomplished in your life the faster you might draw near to God and beg for mercy. Without we cannot purge our sins and partake of the divine nature. #OrthodoxChristianity#catholic
The moment we realize that inner penitential sorrow, Penthos in Greek, is the key to salvation our whole lives change. Our attitudes change, our love changes and we put on the divine nature of God. Confess your sins, live in peace for Christ. You can’t go wrong
@ElijahElishaRap@OntherightBlaze What is more important is that they recognize it is a “toy”. How that toy is expressed or enjoyed can be unique to each individual. I’m just saying even the Catholic Church agrees formally: “The Church is not properly understood as a pyramid, with a primate governing from the top
In my opinion the only two options are to be a traditional Latin Mass Catholic or my preference is to be an Eastern Catholic that hasn’t been latinized. Truth matters. Tradition matters. Yes, Christ is valid in every rite but how you express it means everything. NO hurts souls
@mckalip@FrMatthewLC You are sadly mistaken. The original creed doesn’t have the filioque in it. The original at the Vatican doesn’t have it either. It was agreed upon as part of an ecumenical council to never change it and scripture affirms no filioque. Reverting to the truth is the only way
