"People need celebration in their life. It's part of what it means to be human. We need magic and bliss and power, myth, and celebration in our lives. And music is a good way to encapsulate a lot of it." - Jerry Garcia
Today we celebrate you, Jerry. Happy Birthday.🌹

The Dead performed a top-shelf performance of “Heaven Help The Fool” on the night before Halloween in 1980!
"This is the only song from Bob's 1978 solo record that made it into the Dead's setlist, aside from the one-time performance of Salt Lake City in 1995." -@LemieuxDavid
Now, we must bow our heads and remember that 49 years ago today the Dead performed a legendary show at the Old Renaissance Faire Grounds in Veneta, Oregon.
Photo captured from the Sunshine Daydream documentary highlighting this performance.
Good times were shared by all at @GreekBerkeley on this day in 1989. It was the @GratefulDead's 29th and final show at the venue. Drop a comment if you made the show! 📸: @jayblakesberg
@RockNRollPics The amount of cocaine FM did in '77 is "rumored" to have been absolutely insane. I've read collectively they spent close to $1 mil during recording, production and touring.
