Really sad to read that this wonderful Merseyside health service, ran by such dedicated staff, will lose its funding. Working to tackle health inequalities is so vital, and I know LiveWire has literally been a life-line to so many :(
Beyond devastated for @LiveWireLpool & the people of Liverpool by this shocking decision by @lpoolcouncil@DHSCgovuk
It’s obvious post COVID-19 that people’s health and wellbeing is more vulnerable then ever before...therefore, dropping the LiveWire service is a careless mistake

“ So sorry your service is coming to an end, it has been invaluable for some of the most vulnerable people in our society “ Feedback from one of Liverpool’s Job centre plus were we facilitate regular health hubs to their clients #Liverpool#CutsCostLives#wesavelives#health
This is a terrible shame. We’ve worked very closely with Livewire for some time and have seen first hand the wonderful work they do in the community & difference they have made to people who attend their groups/activities. Wellbeing services are needed more than ever right now.
@LiveWireLpool This is sad news as this is an excellent service which will leave a huge gap in L’pool health provision. I hope the service is recommissioned as minority & disadvantaged groups will feel the loss of this support which has been offered in the heart of the community for 14 years
@LisaMarsland3 We really hope so too. We are so concerned for minority and disadvantaged groups and for the people of our city as a whole. Thanks for your supportive words
