“Outdoor amenities” are a HUGE part of what makes living next to a short term rental so insufferable! Nobody wants to live next door to a STR hotel w/ revolving groups of randos partying outside late into night. #AirbnbSucks#VrboSucks
@McDonalds I ordered thru the app but the manager said she didn’t “accept” because they had no kitchen staff that nite. I still got charged and lost my rewards points. How do I get my rewards back and credit? Store says they can’t help me.
@Andrea79983493@MamaLlamaTX So sorry. Sounds worse than my #AirbnbNeighbor this weekend, which is a bunch of screaming little kids in the pool. But at least they went to bed around midnight.
Another weekend, another big group of screaming kids in the swimming pool the whole time. I love my new outdoor speakers. My house makes noise too, #AirbnbNeighbor. Screw you. #AirbnbSucks
Saturday life of an #AirbnbNeighbor: The #Airbnbsucks pool is full beyond capacity of spring breakers. Screaming, hollering, jumping, diving … hmm I don’t think that pool is deep enough for that. There’s a reason for residential zoning and safety regulations. #HomesNotHotels
@dallasnews Doesn’t seem like much ROI in relation to the cost of the neighborhoods and communities they destroyed. #AirbnbNeighbors everywhere are learning their fate for this #Easter weekend as the “hotel” guests check in next door and start showing how much noise they can make.
Heard the new crop of #Airbnbsucks guests arrive from where I sit in my home office. Oh joy it’s 10+ kids who have already started drinking. #Easter 2b ruined. @AirbnbPolicy you should be ashamed of your #fakepartyban and what you are doing to neighborhoods. #HomesNotHotels
@ncoastneighbors @tvsunorg I keep thinking surely the insurance companies will save us all from this. I don’t normally root for them but the liability??
when we hit the pavement to campaign, we were surprised at how so few of the doors we knocked weren't Airbnbs.
So we drew up some data and estimated that around 10% (!) of the city's housing stock is taken by Airbnb or VRBO (map below)
@MamaLlamaTX The #Airbnb next to me is like this and packed with bunk beds to boot. Met the owner-Realtor who claims it’s not for parties and meant to be “upscale.” Like upscale people are going to sleep 4-5 people per bedroom. #HomesNotHotels
Enjoying a few days without any guests at the #AirbnbHotel#nextdoor. Needed this after their guests used the yard as a parking lot for 15+ cars for 2 weeks. Waiting to see what kind of guests will show up tomorrow and praying they won’t ruin Easter at our house. #AirbnbSucks
I don’t know a single person who wants a whole house short term rental next door. Do you @GovernorHobbs@chandlerazmayor? We have contacted the city, county, all our neighbors wrote to our legislators , we continue to contact PD. Just ban them #homesnothotels
Yep, the whole premise of #Airbnb was to see how the locals live. The people who rent the #AirbnbHotel next to me stare all the time. I’ve seen them taking videos. It’s super creepy and unsafe to have an unregulated hotel next door. #AirbnbSucks
@JeffreyW317Golf Last summer I was out in my front yard pulling weeds only to realize 5 Airbnb bros were just standing staring at me like I was part of some show.
@choirqueen1 Not anymore! Airbnb quietly got rid of the 16 person occupancy cap this past summer. For a neighbor, there is NO difference between living next to an Airbnb w/ 16-20 people on any given day & “a party”. #AirbnbSucks https://t.co/76KaBTQL92
