To brighten up budget day, I am giving a set of these Fabulous Mr Benn badges away.
To be in the bowler hat, all you have to do is retweet this tweet.
I'll choose a winner this time next week.
Good Luck!!
@RogersHistory Surely the benefits to the person sanctioned are a life lesson and if served as such, an improvement in behaviour making them more likely to succeed, not just academically. If they don’t take it as such, their loss!
It wasn't a cake, Tom.
It was lots of parties.
It was allowing them to happen during lockdown.
It was employing dozens of witless idiots in Number 10 who thought it didn't matter.
It's about trust, Tom.
And I'm a Tory.
Parents, if your child is going on a residential in the coming weeks, please go and say thank you to the staff who took them when you collect your child at the end of the trip.
It really makes a big difference!
@TheOther16Hours We don’t have a school council but we take a selection of pupils each term and ask them key questions to gauge pupil voice. That way, more can be included.
@NewVicTheatre@ObsNewReview Utterly brilliant! We laughed till our sides ached. Michael Hugo never disappoints. He was the reason we booked but the whole cast was amazing.
"The hounding of Angela Rayner is outrageous: brutal, snobbish and completely out of proportion to any mistake she may (or may not) have made. The sums are tiny and the issue itself — the deeming of a property as a main residence for capital gains tax purposes — has always been a matter of public confusion. I for one have discovered from the recent press reports that my own understanding was pretty cloudy....
The “Get Rayner” media mood has been whipped up by party politicians, and the rest of us should have nothing to do with it. To me there’s more than a whiff both of misogyny and of class condescension
It's not often I agree with Matthew Paris but I think he captures things pretty well in this article. As a former Conservative MP it is a particularly strong critique.
