Saudi Aramco has reportedly told some European refiners they’ll receive zero Saudi crude in October after the East-West pipeline shutdown. Reuters has separately confirmed Saudi cargo cancellations to Europe and the pipeline damage.

Term contracts are supposed to provide predictable supply.

Now refiners are being forced back into the market looking for replacement barrels.

Oil isn’t scarce when the world runs out. It’s scarce when the barrels can’t get where they’re needed.
