Musicking, Marathoning and being a Mum! Belatedly discovering an interest in the disaster that is British politics

[Patsy Stevenson @PatsyeStevenson]

You can’t just not investigate a bunch of people breaching covid rules for a party but arrest and fine people for going to a vigil for a woman who was murdered by a police officer.

[Liz Giannopoulos @LizGiannopoulos]

Coincidently, I hosted a work event on 20/5/20

We talked about work. I checked on their well-being and said thanks for their hard work. Not sure if it was a meeting or social. They brought their own drinks!

We followed the rules we met on zoom #BorisJohnsonMustGo

[Liz Giannopoulos @LizGiannopoulos]

@Keir_Starmer So when are you calling for a vote of no confidence?

[Angela Rayner @AngelaRayner]

Boris Johnson is not fit to lead us.

[Liz Giannopoulos @LizGiannopoulos]

And on the subject of making mistakes - is there room for the possibility that #Allegra Stratton’s behaviour was a misguided and deeply regrettable attempt to ‘fit in with the boys’ in a patriarchal and morally corrupt working environment? #smashthepatriarchy #BorisJohnsonMustGo

[Liz Giannopoulos @LizGiannopoulos]

I would like to thank Boris Johnson for providing the most excellent case study for my children to appreciate that whilst we can learn from innocent mistakes, deliberate dishonesty, calculated disingenuity and bare-faced disrespect are unforgivable. #BorisJohnsonMustGo

THANK YOU to those who sponsored my family in @StreetsofL #sleepout Thanks to your generosity and fund matching from Barclays we contributed £2,300 to the £50K+ raised on Friday night. This will make a huge difference to help people who are homeless in London.

Thank you 🙏

[Liz Giannopoulos @LizGiannopoulos]

Feeling lucky the weather for Friday night is expected to be dry and mild...

... ICYMI @MrGiannopoulos and I will be 'Sleeping Out' with our kids @StreetsofL to raise money for homeless people.

Please support us if you can

Today we should stop, listen and reflect on the historic conviction in the #GeorgeFloydTrial. England has missed the point.

Instead, we are preoccupied with #SuperLeague football. In contrast to the #SarahEverardvigil, I’ve not heard reports of police at the football protests.

[Liz Giannopoulos @LizGiannopoulos]

@ClaudiaWinkle finally started #Quite. I can’t quite subscribe to the napping theory but am totally sold on the assertive qualities of a pair of damned fine boots. Feel certain that the impact of lockdown has been amplified by swapping boots with attitude for flip flops. No more!

[EVC Music @EVCMusicUK]

Had a really FANTASTIC time presenting about the improvisation for classically trained #pianists for the @EptaUK community this morning! THANKS for inviting me! #evcmusic #piano #zoom

[Liz Giannopoulos @LizGiannopoulos]

@thecarolemalone says “I don’t know what WE can do about it”, @davieclegg says “I don’t know what can be done about it”. A subtle but critical difference and therein lies the problem @SkyNews #ReclaimTheStreets #ReclaimTheseStreets #SarahEverard

[Liz Giannopoulos @LizGiannopoulos]

We are looking forward to your visit to @EptaUK London tomorrow

My 21 mins and 3.5k in the bag for team @EMS_Sport this morning #emsrowing #beadragon

[Liz Giannopoulos @LizGiannopoulos]

Hope there’s someone to give @annabotting a big hug and a high five tonight. What an emotional tribute followed by setting straight the wilfully ignorant and insensitive Isabel Oakeshott #skynews
