My college professor Dr. Pecorale has been the biggest influence on my collection of books. She has such a genuine and amazing sense of knowledge when it comes to literacy. She is always up to speed on what is in and how to create lessons. #g2great

W/o those 4 things those four walls that children are in for 7 hours daily r not comfortable. As we work to cultivate these relationships with our students we need them and us to trust one another with mind, heart, and hands within the community. #g2great

Students need to have books that show other people making a change and seeing all of the effort that goes into the process. Sometimes students need that little push to get them going in the right direction. #g2great

students need to have the ability to see themselves within a book in order to connect to the characters and the lesson that is trying to be conveyed. Once they can relate we can have in depth conversations on a personal level with them. #g2great

Personally I take advantage of the reciprocity of reading and writing by having the students respond to a text in written form during independent reading time about the book they are reading. #g2great

@Neilltheteacher this is such a great feeling!! Sometimes you think nobody is engaged within a read aloud and then you have those students who want to read it a bunch more after you are done!

I have seen RA virtually help take me as a teacher not knowing how 2 get a student to write nonstop within their writer's notebook. I used the Mo Willems Pigeon series to help find a love for writing in a 1st grade one-on-one tutoring session #g2great
