‘It’s made me realise that actually you can do things that you think you can’t do – you just take it a little step at a time’
Listener @LizMitch shares the life-changing impact of learning the trapeze in her late 40s. Listen back here:
@England@MarcusRashford@HKane@BukayoSaka87 Just doing my tiny bit to add to the huge well of support, respect and admiration for the incredible young men who make the England team something to be proud of on so many levels. I’m not sure we deserve you xx
This is so brilliant. Even more so as a quiet act of rebellion enacted for a different audience and yet perfect for the times. I second your comments all the way, Anna. A class act. Respect the librarian.
@NicholasPegg If the person responsible for this is reading the replies, this message is to them:
You are a class act. This is totally inspired and very clever. I hope that a totally random act of kindness comes your way, and leaves you smiling as much as I am now.
@poornabell Beautifully put. The word ‘quite’ seems important. Are any of us quite who others think we are? I have been here, am still here, but am coming to think it was real, it just isn’t any more. Because we are all so much more complicated than anyone else can know, and life changes us.

@marthasma_donna Hello you. Dipping my toe in. Did you see pic of new addition? Labrador no.2. You must meet him, he’s a pesky bundle. Keeping us occupied!
@ClaireTMcDade ‘All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well’. Julian of Norwich apparently. Which sits alongside ‘the rain it raineth every day, hey ho the wind and the rain’ as particularly favourite quotes xxx
@ClaireTMcDade How curious. I found this week difficult too. Hit the proper lows on Thursday. But onward and upward, eh. Rainbow in the sky last night was beautiful. And fish finger sandwiches made by your children. What a gift! Xx
