A message of solidarity from Lebanese 🇱🇧 singer Carine Bassili to Israel 🇮🇱 and the Jewish people, singing “October Rain” in Arabic. Worth listening and sharing
This is the first time a song in Arabic has been dedicated to Israel as a gift of solidarity.
Bassili decided to translate the song into Arabic following the October 7th massacre against Israel, honoring the 1,200 Israelis who were slaughtered by Hamas and the 101 Israeli children, women, men, and elderly still in captivity in Gaza by Hamas.
Joining this message of solidarity with @carinebassili are vibrant and vocal non-Jewish speakers from across the Middle East, such as:
@ACTBrigitte 🇱🇧
@JustLuai 🇾🇪
@RawaneOsmane 🇱🇧🇸🇾
@MaryamYounnes 🇱🇧
@lalshareef 🇦🇪
Fatema El Harbi 🇧🇭
And myself
Along with many others who couldn’t publish their names for security reasons.
This message of solidarity worth sharing.

Wow! Thank you to our incredible speakers & the 150+ supporters who joined us in London to say no to war & occupation, yes to peace, justice & equality for all and to pledge support for @omdimbeyachad.
So grateful to @hamzeAwawde @Magen_Inon@supergoldie for your powerful words.
Hilarious! This chap beautifully exposes how utterly clueless and brainwashed anti-Israel student protestors are.
This is what happens when you don't teach critical thinking in schools.
Wonderful 🔥😂

Guidance to schools on suicide prevention in the RSHE curriculum was published this week.
It’s an illustration of how we go from a campaign by bereaved parents to Govt policy.
But what does suicide prevention in the curriculum mean? Which children? Are there risks?

The brilliant @richardbutchins has spent the last year making this documentary for Channel 4 Dispatches. It's on this evening. In his words: 'It has been a grueling time. Hopefully, it was worth it - to give autistic voices some exposure we never usually get...'
We can implement all the performance improvement initiatives or new quality systems in the world. But if leaders don't light the way to change through their own everyday behaviours & practices, it isn't going to stick. 'Locked away: our autism scandal' is the #Dispatches tonight on channel 4 at 730pm. I will be watching and live tweeting as I am sure will many others. Please however, mute the hashtag and signifier 'autism' tonight if it would be triggering for you. Your safety is paramount.
