Our first is dated from 1852, when Dickens was forced to apologise to one of his contributor writers...

#CharlesDickens lived in 48 Doughty Street between 1837 and 1839. In this short time, his career first took off, as he completed the #Pickwick Papers, wrote #OliverTwist, as well as Nicholas #Nickleby.

She was attending the Curatorial Exchange Programme at the #tokoyonationalmuseum. This day was all about armour. So she had the opportunity to try on this impressive headgear.
The Hogarth family were originally from Edinburgh, where George Hogarth ran a legal practice.
The family were musical and literary, and George was connected with many of the artistic figures of the day, such as Walter Scott and Felix Mendelssohn.
