How much should you charge for a full-length book as a #ghostwriter?

Lots of factors to consider...but my minimum is $50,000.

Let's normalize rate transparency.

I know I wish I'd had someone candidly talking about rates when I was starting out in 2006!

Stop only thinking about billable client hours when setting your rates.

Every #freelancewriting job also includes time for:

-Editing
-Meetings
-Research
-Admin
-Proposal/contract creation

While you're at it...add a buffer (~20%) for EVERYTHING unexpected.

Best lesson I (finally) learned as a #freelancewriter: I wasn't being lazy for only doing 4 hours of creative work every day.

Creative work is mentally intense. Free yourself from the myth you need to be putting in 8 hours to be "productive."
