Horror: One thing I really want to see is Tradwife horror. Think along the lines of Sex Lives of Mormon Wives infused with body or psychological horror. Along those lines, give me something with a creepy priestess or dark clergy element. I love a good cult, religious or otherwise

Lastly, I’d love some thriller with horror elements, think Tender Is the Flesh. I loved Ask for Andrea and The Compound. These books also bleed over into high-concept and books with great hooks. Some other titles I’ve loved recently are The Names and The Book of Guilt.

Sci-fi: I’m shouting out in the galaxy for someone to write Battlestar Galactica in the vein of SJM.

Lastly, I loved The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova and A Discovery of Witches. Give me smart, educated women with a fantastical creature and an historical mystery to unravel and I will love you forever.
