Photos from the Big Lunch Llangunnor which took place yesterday. A free event arranged by us last held in 2019, it was great to see people come together to catch up while being entertained by the fantastic Owen Bailey - Piano Man who performed a number of songs to great applause.
We are still looking for old photographs of Llangunnor and this element of our research is the most difficult - loads of photos exist but obtaining permission to archive them is another matter.
https://t.co/lm4uRikQAj celebrates its 12th birthday today. With the original aim to preserve the history of Llangunnor and also promote Llangunnor and over time we have expanded into holding events to bring people together, still slowly working through all the historical data
Something a little different at The Big Lunch Llangunnor - we will have some live music with the talented Owen Bailey - Piano Man which I am sure you will all enjoy. If you've not caught a performance from him before, you are in for a treat 🎹🎼🎤

The Big Lunch is an opportunity to get together & catch up with friends/neighbours and maybe learn a little about where we live (or just come along for the free food)

Happy 61st Birthday to Llangunnor School, as it was on this day back in 1961 that pupils first attended the school in Pensarn after the school in Login was no longer suitable, having served the children of Llangunnor since 1868 (There was also a school at Philadelphia)
Big "Jubilee" Lunch Llangunnor 2022
With less than six months we are still unsure of what any event would look like or what form it would take - much depends on what other events are being held in the community, but if you have any suggestions or would like to volunteer
Big Lunch Llangunnor 2022
We think it's never too early to start planning for our next event, and as there is a special four-day Bank Holiday Weekend planned, from 2 June to 5 June 2022 what better time to look to organise something to get the community to come together.
Made a start on transcribing the minutes from 1973 for Llangunnor Parish Council. For every year that we transcribe we gain a valuable insight into issues of the day and membership of the Council, which is helping us build up our complete list of Councillors and length of service
