Really tired of a woman killing herself as the only way to take back agency against the patriarchy in literature being viewed as a moment of female power instead of something incredibly tragic. Suicide is not agency.
@Sanctuary2199 In my WIP right now, I'm writing about a religious war through 4 different characters' perspectives. Obviously, they all have very different viewpoints and places in the conflict
@JBTeller1 I don't necessarily have a preference, but I think each of these covers convey vastly different moods. I think it depends on which mood aligns with the content of your book
@barb_avon I've been on here a while and even though I'm looking for actual interaction, it just doesn't seem to be happening. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if that's just what the community is like these days π
Yesterday, I designed a book cover for a #WIP that isn't even halfway through its first draft. Today, I actually stopped procrastinating and sat down to write the WIP. You know, like I should have been doing yesterday. #writerslife#amwriting#WritingCommunity
@MathiasCav I've been a pantser in the past, but my latest project contains four different storylines, so I needed some structure to make sure things lined up correctly. Clearly my first shot at outlining didn't turn out quite the way it needed to.
Hey #WritingCommunity when you realize your WIP has plot issues, do you try to resolve them early or finish the first draft and try to fix the issues on the next pass? I can't decide how to deal with my WIP. #amwriting#amwritingfantasy
@MichailEggs That's the point I'm reaching right now. I'm realizing that I didn't include nearly enough details in my outline and it seems like there are a thousand issues with it that need to be resolved. I'm tempted to just put the whole thing down
I will forever be in love with that moment after finishing a good book when you just clutch it to your chest and let the story wash over you a little while longer. #amreading
