I am lucky because I live with family but still trying very hard to contribute physically and financially if possible, but told I am too old. No, I count!

@Dian_Farmer_ Do you recommend folks grow a garden? I am new to your website! Back in the day, after the depression and the wars, folks grew a garden in order to eat, period. Folks don’t think if it now. We need to teach folks how to fish so to speak, grow at least done of their own veggies!

@Habitat_org I love all that Habitat for Humanity does but now go a step further! Folks who need help affording a home need to be growing some of their food! It saves money, it is healthier, especially with the Cyclospora contamination. Each home must have a greenhouse attached!!

@SModjesky @allie__voss It was an effort to maintain the Tower Garden but I had 11 lettuces and 9 herbs growing in my kitchen. I think if folks on food stamps who could grow their own herbs and lettuces and be cost effective, but it did take effort, less effort, but some effort!

@allie__voss Yes, after the depression and the wars, folks grew gardens for food, and to save money. People don’t even think of it any more. Yes, it takes work but if you don’t have food, even growing herbs and lettuces will be healthier and save money!
