@arrowsbane @s_erose @BadMedicalTakes Same, looking at me and my brother in my 50s, my mum and uncle in their early 70s, and side-eyeing my late grandfather.

I wasn't diagnosed until I was 47, my brother isn't yet & my mum doesn't see the point at her age.

Plus my three kids are all autistic too.

@BadMedicalTakes I'm 5 yrs in to the #AutisticMenopause & as a severe case requiring specialist medical care, I can state that my iron levels are regularly checked, as part of a regular & thorough blood testing schedule.

I've also been taking iron & B12 for yrs, but I'm still menopausal!

Peri & menopause occur due to fluctuating, & then declining hormone levels: estrogen, progesterone & testosteron, as we age.

It affects our entire body, not just our reproductive system, inc our brains & sensory processing.
