You must say it, write it, deliver it at least 7 times before it's actually heard, much less comprehended and acted upon. Yes, it will feel redundant to you...but it will seem like the first time to them (7 times).
Another huge lesson I learned today...
Over communicate. Here's what I mean...
Even when you think communication is clear, delivered and heard. It's not.
They'll end up poisoning the rest of the team. They'll be the crab trying to pull you back into the bucket. Get your team down with the vision before anything else.
Lesson for today -
If you want to build a growth oriented business,
your team has to be down with your vision.
If they're not bought into the mission, the purpose, the growth...then they'll become the thing that holds you back.
"The defining emotional challenge of our time is anxiety, the fear of what might be instead of the courageous pursuit of what could be." Andy Crouch
Therefore, it should be no surprise the defining condition of our time is loneliness and alienation.
"You can't achieve greatness by doing what everyone else is doing.
If your choices resemble those of your friends, you'll get the same results they get."
- Shane Parrish
I stopped having expectations, now get agreements on outcomes for tasks/work.
Expectations never get met, leading to "premeditated resentments."
Getting clear agreements avoids that - makes things clear for everyone involved.
I've found that I don't need more time in the day.
I need more FOCUS.
It's so easy to get distracted or try to multitask (ugh!).
Instead, I'm trying focus blocks. Working deep on one project at a time.
The results are I'm getting more done, quicker, and higher quality.
Struggling to maintain a steady flow of clients?
Many small business owners face this cycle: land clients, stop marketing, lose momentum.
🔄 Break the loop with a systematic sales pipeline!
Start by mastering email.
No email list? Build one.
Have one? Optimize it!
Very fortunate to participate in the Powderkeg Executive Summit.
How do you accelerate the value of your firm?
Starts with 3 things:
1. Visionary/Integrator relationship
2. Structure for getting sh*t done (without creating chaos)
3. Open & honest communication with team
Things are seldom valued when they aren't EARNED.
I's like being born on third based and thinking you hit a triple.
You overvalue yourself, and undervalue what it takes to get there.
Reframe to transform: Our brains can learn to think in new ways!
Emotions and words shape our thoughts more than logic does.
Ever noticed how phrases like 'Alcohol is poison' can change your behavior? That's the power of framing.
