The @PixelFXco team released the Morph 2K scaler for pre-order today so here is my review! Tested with the hardest to deal with hardware; TL;DR...get your wallet (vid in reply) #gaming#gamingnews#retrogames
Morph 2K by Pixel FX | Affordable Retro Upscaler with Big Features
The Morph 2K is the latest video scaler from Pixel FX, designed to bring classic gaming hardware to modern displays with exceptional image quality and low latency. Supporting analog video sources from 240p all the way up to 1080p, the Morph 2K outputs crisp 1080p and 1440p HDMI video with full 4:4:4 colour resolution, making it ideal for retro gaming enthusiasts.
The scaler supports a wide range of inputs including Composite, S-Video, SCART, Component, and VGA, allowing compatibility with everything from early consoles to more advanced retro systems. Advanced features such as Magic Lock dynamic video synchronisation, motion-adaptive deinterlacing, variable refresh rate support, and both ultra-low-lag and frame-lock modes help deliver a smooth and accurate gaming experience.
Visual enhancements include dynamic scanlines, CRT beam simulation, and slotmask and shadowmask shaders, enabling users to recreate the appearance of classic CRT displays on modern televisions and monitors. Audio support includes both analogue and digital inputs, ensuring compatibility with a wide variety of retro hardware setups.
Modern conveniences are also built in, with onboard Wi-Fi, a powerful browser-based management interface, profile importing and exporting, automatic update notifications, and microSD card support for firmware updates and user configurations. Combined with future expansion through USB serial peripherals, the Morph 2K aims to be a flexible and feature-rich solution for retro gaming setups of all sizes.
Whether you're connecting a classic Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Sega Saturn, PlayStation, or arcade hardware, the Morph 2K delivers modern display compatibility while preserving the look and feel of original gaming hardware.

Update, 200pf capacitors seem to introduce write issues with some SD cards. So it's probably safer at this time to use 100pf capacitors. 100pf capacitors are less effective at reducing the hot restart issues with SCPH-70001 motherboards, but if the tradeoff is being unable to write OPL configs, VMCs, etc to the SD card it's probably worth it to sacrifice some of the hot restart gains. I will continue researching this and may have different recommendations in the future.
It has come to our attention that the SuperStation One does not follow the Sega Saturn pinout, instead the audio channels are swapped. Our pinout figures in the Retro Access Knowledge Center have been updated to reflect this.

Big iFlash2PS2 breakthrough! @rezenclowd3 informed me that he and pcm720 had tried following the advice of @Gusse__ to add 100pf capacitors to ground on the RESET, DIOW, DIOR and DMACK pads of the PS2 motherboard. They found that with this modification in place the iFlash was much more reliable at detecting SD cards even when the PS2 was hot, which has been a problem with some PS2s (especially SCPH-70001 models).
After some of my own tinkering I found that 200pf capacitors seem to work better for GH-032 motherboards, making hot reboots basically 100% reliable. I don't see any negative effects on GH-035 motherboards from using 200pf capacitors, so I'm going to recommend that as standard for all PS2s.
Now for the big news. Not only does this mod improve hot restart reliability, it also has unlocked reliable detection of many previously incompatible SD cards including SanDisk 1TB and 1.5TB cards! There are probably many other previously incompatible cards that will work now, but I don't have a huge sample size to test at the moment.
I've updated the install guide on my website to explain how to perform the mod. It works on all revisions of the iFlash flex.

I've ordered a reel of 200pf capacitors and once they arrive next week I will begin including them with each iFlash kit sold.
I made a small diagnostic tool called MegaDoctor. It is intended to help find hardware faults during Mega Drive / Genesis console repairs. https://t.co/uDngC7aZmW
All versions of @PixelFXco#RetroGem back in stock and VERY happy to introduce the #Morph4k + Analog Board for the first time in continental Europe

v2.1.1 of Universal Dreamcast Patcher has been released.
The app is in a very good place, and I don't foresee additional big updates anytime soon (probably just bug fixes).

The Morph 2K launches June 5th at 10AM Eastern for $199.99.
We’ve spent the past few months refining the hardware, adding features, and getting units into the hands of testers and reviewers. We’re excited for everyone to finally get their hands on it.

One feature we’ve spent a lot of time refining on Morph 2K is auto-sampling.
For consoles like PS1, Genesis, and SNES that switch horizontal resolution mid-game, the built-in profiles automatically adapt so you can just play without constantly tweaking settings.
Thanks @Lo0twig for the recording.
Been sitting on this idea for a while, and here it is finally in action on the PS2 FAT! OLED screen install — the rendering still needs some work as the extra 64 lines aren't handled properly yet.
Hope you'll enjoy it!
Compatible with all Methylene versions and the new BlueRetro update — and this is just a glimpse of all the features, which you can discover at https://t.co/RAP2KOJfAy under the OTA update section 😉
