Since 2018, the University of Fort Hare has offered a speech and language therapy (SLT) degree but it has left students unable to graduate, since the regulatory body is not satisfied with the degree’s credibility. https://t.co/qpM5XtkLcM

@HPCSA_ sicela impendulo. You stated that the intensive program would address the gaps identified in the curriculum and you guys approved the program yet we are still not allowed to register to practice.

@BlaqMarvl@News24 That’s what’s baffling to us as well. We are all registered as students under the HPCSA, the HPCSA has had multiple visits to the school including 2 oral examinations and yet no visible remediation has occurred.

Please engage and help UFH speech students since 2018 the degree has been offered but there’s no graduates till this day. The HPCSA keeps delaying and giving restrictions that aren’t applied to previously white dominated universities. #justiceforufhspeechstudents.
