We will update this FAQ as we go!
As we reach our 6th year in development, LoA Team has considered how to celebrate this May.
Instead of a stream or update Q&A, we decided to hold our horses and announce that we'll be producing a quarterly Zine with development notes, advice for designing games, and more.
@Bad_Toad_Games Thanks for sharing! Yeah, our project is running on volunteers in my gaming group, so scope is limited mostly by what makes a sleek product for us. Sorry to hear you shot early on art, but at least you have a backlog for promos or module work!
Everyone: "Don't make a your first work ambitious."
I've learned more writing big & blind than I would if I stuck to basics.
Make the dream, then shave and sacrifice.
You'll learn a lot making a bad system better that you won't learn playing it safe!
Designers and Creators, what's something you tried for your game or products, but just didn't fit?
Did you learn something unexpected along the way?

That being said, if you're doing this as your mainline of income, abide by the iron triangle of project development! People don't think about this often enough.
Hey #ttrpgcommunity! I don't post often, but I work weekly on my #greymyth game.
When I started, I said 6 yrs to make a working game. I met that goal summer of year 4 with a crew of 2 and a network of many.

@goblinsnotebook Thanks so much for the space!
I’ve been building a TTRPG engine called Frontiers and it just entered beta. I’m looking for people willing to poke at it and share feedback :)

We are looking at how you might want a look at the game's state in development. Feasibly, we can offer a 3 session Actual-play demonstration of the game live while interacting with the audience, produce a zine on game dev and progress quarterly, or fully produce a video.
That feeling when you've got a small team and a big game.😅 #TTRPG#gamedev
Dev Update:
The game is playable, but needs player options to be complete. To keep rev. cycles short, we r tweaking the sys. with our few prototype opts for ea. subsys. b4 we make more content.
@WeGateKeepNthn We made sure the prayer failure results provide a myriad of obscure signs to indicate a Power's mood or disposition. There's a feeling of calling out, hoping to hear and echo, and sometimes getting a miracle.
Why should you play Tiny d10?
1. Because it's fast, easy, and fun
2. Because it's free
3. Because it's so extensible it's silly
4. Because it strives for the true, the good, the beautiful
5. Because I made it for YOU
Hey all, just popping in to post as a proof of life. We didn't celebrate our anniversary this year, but that's because we are focused on optimizing our system.
Updates 👇 if interested, may post details later if folks stop by to like.
One of the challenges we had this year was the magic system. Seems to take about 5 minutes to make a single spell which interrupts play for too long. So we have been working to try to get it down to 1 minute to 2 minutes for someone with a introductory understanding of the rules
1) The game is now playable.
2) We are optimizing the game for play and cutting down the core systems to be more streamlined before building out character options
