@LoadedPRLife S62(1) Consumer Rights Act states that an unfair term is not binding on the customer. Cite breach of contract under the CRA 2015 with your bank to put a stop on it. Totally wrong, unfair & invalid as it's purposely designed to trap you.

How do companies get away with this auto renewal contract rubbish.

A well known media monitoring firm trapping us into another 12 months of service due to not providing 90 days notice prior to an auto renewal - we gave 30 days that we didn't want to renew.
