Buffalo firefighter Jason Arno died battling a four-alarm blaze in the city's downtown area on March 1, 2023. Firefighter Arno was 37 years old and a member of BFD's Engine Co. 2.Please keep Firefighter Arno's family and the members of Buffalo Fire Department in your thoughts.

Congratulations to Firefighter/ EMT-P Mario Cameron! Mario recently graduated from the Massachuestts Fire Academy, completed his Paramedic training and is now officially off probation. Today, Chief Cranson presented Mario with his new fire helmet front piece. Job well done!

This past Sunday Representative Dylan Fernandes delivered a citation to the Nantucket fire department and Nantucket PFAS action group for their work on PFAS.

The citation reads: "In recognition of your nation-leading work to address PFAS contamination in firefighter's gear"
