@thegamersjoint I glitched the Demo! This happened while fighting the Gigas in Galaxy Toys.
While it can be the ambiance overlay of using the Mirage Staff Finisher, it does remind me of a certain Chirithy location gone dark...
@Verliswolf As confirmed by the guy who made the Lion King Monkey Puzzle and others, they were made harder to make money off game sales when stores were offering rental options. If you can’t beat the game before the return date, you’re more likely to buy it.
@littledarkfury Out of curiosity, what variants of MegaRay were being run, and which did best; Fire, Electric, Glass Trumpet? What Stadium did they run, such as Academy at Night to guarantee an energy?
@littledarkfury I believe for the past 2 years, Pult was the Gatekeeper. If you didn’t beat it, you weren’t making Day 2 or Top Cut.
The question isn’t if Pult ruined the TCG, but if the decks that passed its trial were ruining the TCG meta and torunament viewing. If so, it’s a bad Gatekeeper.
@littledarkfury I think every meta has a Tier 1.1 Deck, aka The Gatekeeper. It’s the deck that’s consistent and popular, but doesn’t necessarily get the top spot finishes.
Before Dragapult (and Fez, and Clefairy, etc), Garde didn’t have the tools needed to get consistent top spots.
@PokeDuelsTikTok VS a Mega deck, this never matters.
VS a two-prize deck, it matters 25% of the time when you get 2 Heads.
VS a single prize deck, it matters for every KO. If you flip 50/50, you’ll skip 2 KOs every match.
But in mixed decks, Togekiss bumps up bench sitters a prize slot.
@PokeDuelsTikTok I can agree. If we need to play 2 down at once, they need to be harder to remove.
For example: “this card is unaffected by item cards, and the effects of Pokémon attacks and abilities. [Chaos Swell, “…, except for Stadiums with ‘Legendary’ in their names,…”]
@littledarkfury Also, they drop a number of prizes equal to the number of cards played together, share HP and Retreat, but have different Weakness and Resistance.
For example, LEGENDARY Super-Ancients. Kyogre: HP +70 per Pair. Groudon: Damage Taken by 30x. Rayquaza: Damage Dealt by 30x.
@littledarkfury I’d love if they made Paired Mons designed to be interchangeable. [RuleBox Group Name] that say “Put this card from your hand onto your Bench only with any number of [RuleBox Group] of different names.” Each can have a different ability to empower them per pair and an attack.
@littledarkfury Rainbow energy for Basics, plus Metang or Eelectric for Colorless. It can be a Basic Box deck that can run this as the only Psychic attacker. It can copy Terapagos ex, Archaludon, or Deoxys for damage immunity.
@littledarkfury I added a couple Salvatore. It’s good for going second if you have the energy, and for establishing a late Mega in the face of bench snipes.
I remember facing against Lucario as well as a Zygarde-Barbaracle. I established Starmie, 2 Froslass, and a Munki, and denied evolution.
@Verliswolf Also, speaking of you pointing out how much better the 20th anniversary Super Bowl commercial was, Pokémon TCG Live agreed with you. They just forgot to rename the decoration names after changing the motto on the textures.
@PokeDuelsTikTok 2 Crustle decks. This means an over dependence on EX in this meta.
2 Joltik Box. Energy and Bench acceleration on medium-tanky basic EX, and evolving single prizers to Boss for Iron Hands.
GrimLass. Ability chip and Devo.
The meta is shifting away from evolving EX.
@Verliswolf It’s only true if it goes both ways, and they can’t wear or say anything correlating to left wing policies and movements. Including any LGBT+ flag pins, or asking for a person’s pronouns.
They will never give those up, and so MAGA hats must be accepted.
