All the chaos, the drama, the tears, the disappointments we keep going in circles, but the conclusion is always the same: marry kind people. People who are not just kind to you when they want something, but people who are kind as a way of life. Kind to strangers. Kind to children. Kind to those who can do nothing for them. That’s the real test of character.

And let me say this loud and clear, kind does not mean quiet. So many people make that mistake. They marry the soft-spoken one, the one who keeps to themselves, and assume that’s kindness. It’s not. Silence is not a personality trait, and it’s definitely not proof of goodness.

Some of the quietest people carry the loudest rage, the deepest bitterness. Then ten years down the line, you're sitting across the dinner table wondering who the hell you married. Because you never really knew them, you just assumed silence was decency. It’s not.

Kindness is about how someone treats people when they’re angry. When they’re stressed. When they’re not getting their way. When you’re the one who's messed up. It’s easy to be sweet when everything is going well. But what about when life gets ugly? When you lose your job? When you’re grieving? When you're vulnerable? That’s when true kindness shows or doesn’t.

So yes, marry kind people. People who don’t humiliate you to feel powerful. People who apologize when they’re wrong. People whose goodness isn't conditional on convenience. People who’ll stand up for you and still sit with you when you’re not at your best.

Marry someone with a gentle heart and a strong spine. Not someone who puts on a performance in public and terrorizes you in private. Not someone who only loves you in peace but vanishes in chaos.
Marry someone who makes kindness feel like safety, not silence. Because at the end of the day, looks fade, money comes and goes, but the way someone makes you feel safe, heard, respected, that will carry you through a lifetime
