Fantastic job by our S5 DofE! Over the past months they've been volunteering their time working hard raising funds for charity. They chose our local food bank and today they painted the shop red -what a haul!

And here they are. Our S2 representatives were presented with their Certificates and badges by none other than HRH Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh. The Duke also took time to speak with out pupils asking them about their experiences. Thank you sir!

I may have been off and the page has been quiet, but the fabulous WA team at Lochend have continued to provide opportunities to learn new skills!
The S2 Outdoor Learning group were building shelters today. Next week will be outdoor cookery!

Glasgow Kelvin College has said this evening that it will welcome any pupils on the S3 WA Taster programme on Wed afternoon , 1.30pm as normal. If you can, please attend.

We have 15 young people our collecting their Earl of Wessex Awards on behalf of our S2 Cohort. Pupils are loving the Trades House building and hospitality! Thank you to the 14 Incorporated Crafts for inviting us!

4 week rotation has now changed
If you were on Hospitality you now move to Adventure Sports (remember kit!), Adventure Sports to Hair and Barbering, Hair and Barbering to Hospitality. Tutors will meet you at reception @1.30pm as normal.

With the ongoing union strikes and 'junior' sections of schools across the city closed to pupils, our S3 College programme will be off tomorrow (Wed 27th). They will recommence, as normal, next Wed 4th of October. @lochend

Day 3! What a night! High winds and driving rain kept many of us awake, thankfully the tents did their job and kept us dry! Tired today but they made it! Lots of sleepy heads on the bus home!

Dsy 2. A dreich start meant detach ing inner tents and pack away for tonight. A new experience for the team! Today tackled East Lomond Hill -we got a few mins of views before the clouds and rain set in! Still enjoying themselves though!

As the 22/23 DofE Qualifications move towards a close, the 23/24 Awards spring to life. Expeds have started! Silver practice started today. 7 hardy students took on their bags, nav, wind and rain! Day 1 down, 2 to go! @LochendHigh @DofEGlasgow
