After all of the chatter about officiating, the refs legit swung the 1st quarter by 10-12 with this absurd overturn forcing Kat to sit the entire 1Q, somehow missing 2 goaltends at both ends, AND gifting the spurs 2 more after missing one obviously go out of bounds off Wemby.
That challenge not only prevented two Knicks points from going on board, but a foul being put on Wemby AND instead a second on KAT. Has to be the highest leverage position possible other than a four-point play overturn.
If Brunson hadn’t kept his cool and had run up on Wemby, the refs would’ve snap called a tech on Jalen, reviewed the play & 100% have given Wemby a flagrant.
Instead, Brunson was a pro and Wemby gets to completely skate on it. Doesn’t seem right to me.

Greller: “180 to a back flag I think it’s just a stock 7”
Spieth: “where’s our wind Mikey? It’s supposed to be out of the Southwest due to the Super El Niño but I just felt it switch on me. I feel like it’s 4. Yeah… it’s 4 iron. This one’s on me”
This is exactly the kind of stuff that turns people off LIV. Competition is second to the money. Same reason they’ve had such shit performances in majors recently.
They spend years talking about “growing the game,” their legacy, and majors and then a 34 year old says “Yeah if LIV folds fuck it I’m good I’ll just retire.”
Sports fans connect with athletes who live to compete, which is why LIV has not and will not take off with fans.
Can you even comprehend Tiger or Kobe or Jordan at 34 saying “I’ve made enough money who cares.” Obviously Thomas Pieters isn’t in the same stratosphere as those names - maybe because of that mentality.
I'm not sure there's a bigger self-inflicted casualty of golf's civil war than Jon Rahm. Hurt reputation by taking $ he said he didn't need, torched years of major prime, put Ryder Cup eligibility in jeopardy over a silly fight, after turning down PGA Tour's Koepka exemption might not have a place to play next year
Correct Luke. Thanks for explaining why Liv sucks. Cam Smith was one of my 2-3 favorite players to watch in golf. Got a fat bag of cash, started fishing 6 hours a day, stopped going to range, and now sucks. Pretty much shut it all down at 29. Happy for him. But sucks for fans.
Cam Smith will be pissed to miss the cut in his last 6 majors. But he will wake up tomorrow knowing he’s a healthy father & husband with generational wealth. Also his name is forever etched into the Claret Jug as the 150th Open Champion at St Andrews. If that sucks, sign me up.
