@mrswalkerteach @maternityCPD If you have a partner, have a discussion about what you both can and can't do and when. Going back after your "job" of having/caring for a baby can often mean your other work is lumped on top of the same and suddenly you have two "jobs", life. Expect big support. You deserve it.
@mrswalkerteach @maternityCPD @LockdownMothers Make the most of spending time with your children midweek when everything is much quieter. It really takes the pressure off at the weekend 😊
@misssarahlfitz@mrswalkerteach @maternityCPD This change in attitude from "But I'm not..." to "Great! I get to..." is just brilliant - will be keeping that for myself. Thanks!
@mrswalkerteach @maternityCPD @LockdownMothers Everyone has said what I would have. Enjoy it! That’s my main thing. See it as a positive that you get to work and be a mummy (DONT see it as your not fully there for both like I first did) try to not work on your non working day
@mrswalkerteach @maternityCPD @LockdownMothers When you get home from work spend the first 15 mins (or whatever) playing with your baby, not half-phone, half-baby. Work worries magically melt away 😊
@mrswalkerteach @maternityCPD @LockdownMothers I worked four day a week for 4 years. Loved it. Make sure you have something nice planned for your day off and switch off your emails on your phone. Enjoy spending time with your babe!
@rjw66rjw@mrswalkerteach @maternityCPD So so important in a job like teaching. I know so many people who went PT and ended up doing five days of work in a 3 or 4 day space. There have to be boundaries.
After maternity leave, I will be going part time for my first time as a teacher. What are your top tips for managing the work life balance (returning in a pandemic aside!!)? @maternityCPD @LockdownMothers#LockdownBaby
