@TomClisham@JTMLFC @dizzy259 Fine Tom, yes France is an associate member of the ICC.
The geographical location of Jersey is still irrelevant to the situation as you know full well.
Asa Tribe is ONLY eligible to play Test cricket for England.
@TomClisham@JTMLFC @dizzy259 Channel Islanders have always played for Eng in football, in fact Eng is the only nation they are automatically eligible for.
Jersey’s geographical location has absolutely no bearing, especially as France is not a cricket nation.
I think we’re going to have to agree to disagree
@TomClisham@JTMLFC @dizzy259 I understand your point in regards to Archer, Trott, KP, Morgan, Jordan and others.
The point I’m making however, is that that is NOT the case with Asa Tribe.
He IS one of ‘our own’.
@TomClisham@JTMLFC @dizzy259 He is from ‘our own County divisions’, he plays for Glamorgan and as a Jerseyman is automatically England qualified. Just as in other sports. This is absolutely NOT a case of England importing foreign players as with Archer etc.
@AndrewM6770343@ohlookitswill_ A historical round robin tournament that requires a Time Machine, where Australians play younger iterations of themselves would be more interesting than watching England for many reasons.
But it doesn’t really answer the question now does it?
@cuffs1971@ohlookitswill_ What does the relative rankings of the England players have to do with anything? The comparison is with previous AUSTRALIAN teams. How do people still not get this?
@danbrettig Why would he want to endear himself to Smith or any opposition player? Why would anyone want him to endear himself to them? Such a strange discourse.
