PROTESTORS: We told you to leave. We gave you time to leave. We were slow and methodical, yet you were assaultive and aggressive with officers and the horses. Based on your behaviour, we are responding by including helmets and batons for our safety.
Some traffic and service impacts are expected to continue Saturday, February 19 and into the weekend.
With the ongoing police operations in response to the demonstrations, please avoid all unnecessary travel in the downtown area.

MANIFESTANTS: Vous devez partir. Vous devez cesser toute activité illégale et retirer immédiatement votre véhicule et/ou vos biens de tous les sites de protestation illégaux. Toute personne se trouvant sur le site d'une manifestation illégale peut être arrêtée.
@Cooper4SAE@JustinTrudeau Notice the words used "peacefully protest" there is no harm coming from these people and the violence didn't begin until the police arrived
Freedom of expression and the right to peacefully protest do not give any Canadian the license to break the law. I call on @JustinTrudeau to enforce the law and direct the RCMP to shut down these illegal blockades.
@TheRealKeean I have an idea, let's all at 10 PM EST post pictures of the police running over the protesters and tag Trudeau on the post, we need to get his attention
@JustinTrudeau You are a disingenuous weasel. Your stormtroopers trampled peaceful protesters today with horses.
