We've now updated the primary model used by Locusive, but continue to monitor the space for new and existing providers as they develop better, faster, stronger models.
Check out the analysis to see which models worked best for us.
We recently conducted an analysis of 10 different LLM providers to see if we could optimize Locusive's accuracy, speed, and cost, with the overall winner surprising us.

Today we're excited to roll out two new features: a database integration that will let you answer questions using your databases, and reference guides, which you can use to help your LLMs access your data more precisely.

This morning we sent out our monthly product/company updates email — screenshot attached here.
If you're interested in getting these delivered to your inbox, you can sign up for updates at https://t.co/DTbFjakqC9.
We're excited to roll out the release of our new "Chatbot" page on our app. On this page you can get a better indication of what team your chatbot is connected to, the number of integrations in use, and you can toggle the use of a search engine and ChatGPT's built-in knowledge when answering your queries.
Happy to announce that we've rolled out a new integration for Google Docs. Now you can take the contents of any of your (or your team's) docs and use them as part of your knowledge base on Locusive.
I tested this out on our own MoU template for the customer development partners that we're signing up to build the Locusive Concierge.
Speaking of which, if you're interested in working with us to get early access + a discount to an AI-enabled in-app assistant, let's chat. If not, feel free to enjoy our continuously expanding chatbot + API products totally for free.
Today we sent out our monthly updates for November. We announced a few new features, including expanded support for your knowledge base. If you're interested in getting these updates straight to your inbox, just add your email to the footer of https://t.co/1sdVIG2TNm
Happy to announce that we've rolled out a new integration for Google Docs. Now you can take the contents of any of your (or your team's) docs and use them as part of your knowledge base on Locusive.
We just rolled out the ability to search through your entire connected knowledge base on @Locusive's chatbot for Slack.
In contrast to just chatting with the bot, where you can ask a question and it will give you back an answer sourced and cited from your knowledge base, this new search feature will let you find the top 5 most relevant documents across your entire knowledge base for a particular search term.
This is super helpful for when you're just looking to remember a document that you had stored somewhere, rather than looking for an answer to a specific question.
Locusive is still free to use but we're building up a waitlist now. If you're interested in trying this out for yourself, just let me know.
Last night we rolled out an update to Locusive that lets you better manage shared data across your team by allowing admins to see what data sources others have added to the shared knowledgebase.
This should make it easier for organizations to collaborate by surfacing which documents have already been connected to your chatbot across all team members.
Soon we'll supplement this by adding functionality to our website which will also allow you to upload and manage PDFs/webpage URLs as well.
I just sent out the fourth edition of Generative Intelligence, our weekly newsletter from @Locusive that we're hoping helps shed insight into some interesting concepts, developments, and ideas from the world of Gen AI.
This week's edition was an introduction into autonomous agents. You can read it online at https://t.co/p9R957XHvU.
If you're interested in receiving these straight to your inbox every week, you can also sign up to receive them at https://t.co/lVm5AC8KqD.
We've seen our customers experience some notable boosts in productivity (reduced time to get to customers, higher-quality offerings, faster answers for questions on sales calls) by using our chatbot that's connected to their internal data sources and tools.
We've had a great time working with @Grant_Exec (if you're looking to get some free grant money, check them out!).
They used our Slackbot and our API to improve their customer response times, drop costs, and improve their business.

Based on our experience and use of vector databases, we've created this quick guide on why you should use a purpose-built API over a vector database for your chat-enabled applications.

One of the biggest requests we get is how to talk to data in Google Sheets. That's why we added Google Sheets as a supported integration for our chatbot for Slack. If you've got data stored in Google Sheets and want to talk to it, this guide is for you:

@AlainFabian has been helping out with a liquor/beer producer in his spare time. He's been heavily focused on operations, and needs to understand a lot of the alcohol laws that are in effect around the country and in states.
He's been using the Locusive bot to create a library of trusted documents that contain key information on alcohol laws and asking questions of the content in those documents.
The bot has been giving him high-quality, sourced and cited information.
Pretty cool to see this in a real world scenario.
