MW Clans is technically newer but it is fully story focused and has no modding/sandbox Feature and a Limited Range of mechs to Play with while MW5 has basically everything if you have DLC/Mods

The official Minis aren’t to expensive and you can find most the Books online, especially how to Play the Game.

If you want cheaper minatures 3d printing is an Option (shamless plug) but the official ones are totally servicable since you only need like, 4-8
