👩🏻💻 We use Haskell. A lot. It doesn't win many popularity contests, but we believe in its potential. No other language helps you manage complexity *and* ship real products like Haskell does.

🤝 Welcoming @LodeWallet to the VyFinance platform. If Lode is your wallet of choice you can connect to VYFI now!!!
"LodeWallet exists to provide the simplest possible experience for Cardano DeFi users to send or receive multiple assets and securely connect to dApps on the Cardano blockchain."
Did you know you could mint NFTs via NMKR Pay with @LodeWallet?

We're grateful for all the positive feedback and constructive conversations at our @cNFTcon booth.
Next up is @RareBloomEvent. We hope to see you there!
#CardanoCommunity
Amazing tools like Haskell and Nix don't ensure a great result, but they allow you to go further in your quest for greatness.
To chat more about this and other topics, come find the LodeWallet booth at @cNFTcon.
Just a friendly Friday reminder: Turing equivalence doesn't mean one programming language is just as good as another.
You wouldn't want your blockchain written in Excel or Minecraft just because they're Turing complete / computationally universal.
Maximize your project's potential by choosing the right technology. That's what we're doing here at LodeWallet and what so many in the #Cardano community are doing.
🧑🏿💻 Working in the Cardano ecosystem, you're sure to come across the #Nix Package Manager. It's an important part of how the ✨magic✨ happens. Here's why you should not just know about it but use it. 🧵

@Ether06106458 We generally use NixOS on developer machines and for server deployments, but it isn’t strictly necessary: you get a lot of the benefits from nix and nixpkgs. In some contexts (e.g., macOS/iOS development) you have no choice of OS but you can still use nix.
Mobile dApp Shortcuts: Your dApp Browser Homepage is a list of shortcuts to all of your previously-connected dApps.
In just a few clicks, you can be back using your favorite dApps, confident you’re visiting exactly the URL you’d previously approved for access.
There's lots more to #Nix: declarative package and system specification, excellent binary caching, trivial remote building, easy cross-compilation, and a huge archive of open source projects you can build and modify.
Like we said: 🧙🏻 magic ✨ (but actually merkle dags)

Need to swap out a library deep down in the stack to deal with a newly discovered exploit, test it locally, and deploy it to production with confidence that it'll work? With #Nix and #NixOS, that's child's play. 👶🏼

👨🏿💻While it isn’t necessary to work in Haskell when #BuildingOnCardano, it sure helps! we can use the same libraries that core development teams produce and use; no reverse engineering or reimplementation of core functionality needed. https://t.co/Tawnhu5t5P
But there’s also a lot that you don’t see by looking at that github org. IOG’s investment in #Haskell has been substantial and touched so much of the ecosystem. You’ve got everything from educational materials to bring new people in to maintenance of critical tools like ghcjs.
