The majority of attendees live alone or care for a loved one, many attendees have early onset Dementia or Alzheimers, many have poor mental health and physical ailments.

Goldies Sing&Smile
On the 26th May the Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF) announced the approval of two new grants for Somerset charities. The Brethren of Connaught Freemasons Lodge were delighted to learn that one of these charities is the Goldies Sing&Smile @PGLSomerset

Radstock that will receive £15,000 over 3 years.

The Golden-Oldies Charity, established in 2008 and known as “Goldies”, delivers fun, daytime social Sing&Smile community groups, supporting physical health, wellbeing, and independent living by combating loneliness and isolation.

Members of the provincial Cycling club accompanying youths from Frome College who were cycling as part of their Duke of Edinburgh award. Refreshments were served of, hot Sausage and bacon baps and loads! of cakes, then an informative Tour of the Temple. @PGLSomerset @msn_today

111th Installation Meeting
Wednesday 19 April

In the presence of W. Bro Anthony Guthrie PSGD, Assistant Provincial Grand Master for Somerset, a full temple saw Bro Alastair Slade installed as the 111th Worshipful Master of Connaught Lodge.

The thirty-two visitors included W. Bro Mark Bajona with his cockapoo Medical Dog Rufus who sat quietly throughout the ceremony. A lively Festive Board rounded off a very successful evening.

A superb and well attended Burns Night Supper during the evening of Wednesday 18 January. The whisky flowed quite freely, courtesy of the Worshipful Master. This must have helped to loosen the wallets and purses, as £300 was raised on the night @PGLSomerset
