When @ankushpal2001 showed up at Lodhi Gardens with his copy of Ten Days that Shook the World, he didn't know what to expect. But even before he'd spoken any words to the other participants of @LodhiReads, he knew he'd found a community: https://t.co/4KJyPqqE7Z
Satisfying Saturday reading at Lodhi Garden, the timeless monument, lush greenery, vibrant community, playful dogs, chirping birds, the cool summer breeze, and of course the inspiring Ambedkar.
We're thrilled to inform you that, Lodhi Reads marked their one-year milestone recently and to celebrate it, they're embarking on a journey to celebrate the joy of reading while supporting our humble efforts to foster literacy and cultivate a love for books in our community.
We complete one whole year on 1st May this year 🥳 To celebrate, we are organising a BOOK SALE on Saturday, 4th May. All the proceeds from the sale will go to Bansa Community Library. We hope to raise at least Rs. 25,000 via sales/contributions. Will you help us achieve our goal?
And for our 47th edition on 23rd, we were joined by “Children’s Books for All”, facilitated by Arushi! It gladdens our heart to see diverse reading communities sprout & build safe spaces for readers to connect with themselves. Eager to witness another story unfold next Saturday!
As our curators could not attend the 48th edition, our readers Benoy and Sumantra stepped up to anchor the edition. Such is the power of community! Grateful for the people who make us “us”, as we thrive week after week after week 💛 Join us on Saturday to discover the magic!🌳 📚
Lodhi was quieter than usual last Saturday. The loudest were the birds - their chirping drowning the sounds of hushed conversations. Each time at Lodhi is different. But each Saturday, the act of collective reading in nature makes us believe that there is something to hold on to.
Meena’s words resonated with our readers, as evident from the burgeoning book stack & smiling faces. Not just Meena, many more readers responded to our call for sharing their experiences, & reading them filled our hearts with unbridled happiness. Join us to share the joy 💛(7/7)
Through the eyes of our readers: Meena Priyadarsnee joined us for the first time for our 45th edition and wrote about her experience!
Lost in Lodhi, found in words. I wandered through Lodhi Gardens yesterday, seeking out Lodhi Reads. (1/n)
I can't wait to bring my friends here some day and also make more friends at Lodhi Reads.
Reading is a slow metamorphosis of our social selves, and Lodhi Reads is shaping up to be the cocoon for this transformation—a shared space of growth and connection. 🦋

The size of the bookstack suggests that our readers also prefer afternoons for reading outdoors. With a prediction of rains, we worried we might have to go remote for our 44th read. Instead, the breeze and the blooms in myriad colours made it the perfect time to be out and about
For our 43rd edition, we went back to reading on Saturdays, the OG Lodhi Reads day. The gardens were in full bloom, and an abundance of colour greeted us.
We’d like to share the joy with all of you, so join us next Saturday, won’t you?
