@nikki92879@hankgreen You are always allowed to voice stupid opinions. For the same reason, you have to be prepared to defend them when people call them stupid. Not all opinions are equally valid.
@nikki92879@hankgreen It's a stupid one. It's exactly the opposite of what Hank was proposing, and the net result is it will disproportionately affect poor people. Anyone who wants a #flattaxrate isn't really engaging in the conversation....
.@JoeNBC on President Trump’s reaction to the anticipated release of the redacted Mueller report: “He’s panicking there. It’s a laughable freak-out.”

@Amazingginsu@AOC@IlhanMN@HolocaustMuseum I'm also a nobody trying to figure out what is happening. I see two sides talking past each other. What did Trump say that was hateful or inciting violence? I just can't see or grasp how what Trump tweeted has any secret meaning or hateful connotation.
Ilhan Omar is a leader with strength and courage. She won't back down to Trump's racism and hate, and neither will we. The disgusting and dangerous attacks against her must end.
I am so confused by this rhetoric. Ilhan Omar referred to 9/11 in a way that was clearly a bit too dismissive. President Trump, like most commentators, is pointing this out. She could just apologize for being insensitive. Where is there mention of Islam or inciting violence???
The President is inciting violence against a sitting Congresswoman—and an entire group of Americans based on their religion. It's disgusting. It's shameful. And any elected leader who refuses to condemn it shares responsibility for it.
@PorcupineGirl8@connorfletcher@jbendery I can agree with that, but how about mayyyyyybe the public also should be careful about accusing people of being Nazis and Nazi sympathizers. Because, you know, maybe we don't want to devalue that accusation and keep it for real Nazis... Just a thought. I didn't say she was smart
I saw a girl crying on a bench in public this morning. I wanted to comfort her, but of course that would be weird, awkward and also not helpful. I felt a bit helpless. She looked up and I looked away, but I wish there was a universal greeting for such times. 1/2
@Rocyourmind@connorfletcher@jbendery Yeah, see, you are basically the epitome of ignorance and political tribalism, lacking critical thinking or nuance in your views on arguments. Believe what you want, and spew your hypocritical hatred on Twitter, but this is a bad approach.
@anyprophet No, of course not. And if you actually care about what Candice Owen thinks and believes, it's obvious she's acting in good faith. She's not in favor of genocide or Hitler. Her analogy was terrible and she ended up hurting her own point with it.
