For #screenshotsaturday, I have a lil thing I did right before packing up for the move. Just looking for more opportunities to add small interactions - in this case breakable pottery. I'm going to randomize the sfx and pitch so it's not the same sound every time.
I'll be moving over the next week or so and I have to pack up my PC's, which means fresh posts will go on hiatus until I'm in the new place. Expect less posting or reposts in the meantime. Here's a few wet Ceratosaurus pics for now. π¦π
Some locations in Paleophage and the real-world places that inspired them. Most materials in the game were created with photography I took on-site at various places around Milwaukee.
All that being said I think the most contentious point is the critics preemptively declaring it goty when there are so many better prospects. I'll be mad too if it gets it, on principle. But honestly who cares what gets goty? Award shows are stupid.
I didn't really want to weigh in too much on the whole Mixtape thing but I see a lot of people conspiratorially attributing it to Morgan Ellison as if it were some kind of "nepo baby vanity project" from Annapurna's owner.
I think there's lots of legit reasons to be unhappy with the game, but there's a lot of people seemingly just making things up to be mad about, which doesn't help anyone.
Saw Hokum last night knowing basically nothing going into it. The whole time I was thinking "Wow this feels just like a Damian McCarthy film".
Then I saw the end credits lol. Maybe the rabbits should have been a giveaway.
@sean_gause@machinegames Really gorgeous game, it was easily one of my favorites that I played last year. I've been meaning to pick up the DLC but I haven't had the chance yet.
