🎣 Bulletin:
Today marks the 2nd $FISH emissions halving.
When difficulty flips over the halving will go into effect.
As the water flows onward the conditions change on their fixed schedule, and all fishers must adapt!
Welcome to the next chapter.
⚡️ The block time rankings just changed
We've refreshed the leaderboard, and the order has shifted
Some networks are now finalizing blocks at speeds that barely feel real

Yo, @fogo just smashed to #1 in real-time TPS rankings, absolutely cooking the competition.
Meanwhile, @NEARProtocol chilling at like ~50 TPS in the wild, but they dropped this insane verifiable benchmark hitting 1M TPS, straight flexing that potential, bro.
📌 Fogo Fishing Market Intelligence Update
Why This Window Might Be the Most Asymmetric Moment Yet ->
@FogoFishing continues to evolve dailyand the latest data points are giving us one of the strongest asymmetric setups since launch. Here’s the tactical breakdown:
1️⃣ The Biggest Signal: A Whale Just Burned 426M $FISH (~$162K)
This isn’t a casual flex.
This is a macro signal that a
sophisticated player believes:
• circulating supply is mispriced,
• future emission difficulty will tighten further,
• and the long term equilibrium value of $FISH is significantly higher.
A burn of this magnitude reduces free float, compresses sell side liquidity, and gives existing holders a stronger claim on future emission + redistribution yield.
This is the first time a single actor has “removed” such a large % of supply voluntarily.
That sets a new psychological floor.
2️⃣ Difficulty Drop: 256k → 32k
A Sudden Shock That Changes All ROI Models
The emission difficulty being slashed 8× downwards means:
• your catch efficiency temporarily skyrockets
• your FISH per cast ratio improves instantly
• short term grinders have their highest EV since launch
new players get an unusually high value entry window
Why this matters tactically:
Fogo Fishing has daily difficulty adjustments. A drop this large signals the team is actively:
• resetting emissions to maintain healthy liquidity,
• increasing player engagement,
• and preventing early stagnation in game economy velocity.
This is likely temporary.
If difficulty climbs again (which historically it does),
those farming now get outsized advantage.
3️⃣ Scarcity Spike
2.1B $FISH Burned → Total Supply Now ~976M
We’ve officially crossed into a sub 1B supply era.
Implications:
• circulating supply is shrinking faster than emission growth
• future halvings will accelerate scarcity even more
• redistribution yield becomes more meaningful
• price volatility increases (thinner supply = bigger moves)
From a tokenomics viewpoint, Fogo Fishing just transitioned from:
High-emission → Controlled scarcity → Burn-accelerated phase
This is the phase where most game tokens historically bottom + reverse.
4️⃣ Player Strategy Update
What Changes After Today’s Numbers
If you are actively playing:
This is the highest short term ROI zone since difficulty lowered. Farm aggressively until adjustment.
If you are upgrading rods:
This is the best window to upgrade during low difficulty cycles.
Your payback period shrinks significantly.
If you are holding unprocessed FISH:
Redistribution yield becomes more valuable as big players process/burn.
But avoid processing right before someone else dumps.
If you are buying on DEX:
Supply compression + whale burn = expect higher volatility.
Low liquidity = fast moves up and down.
5️⃣ Macro Thesis:
The Game Is Moving Toward a Supply Squeeze Meta
Between:
• massive whale burn
• 8× difficulty reset
• <1B supply milestone
• increasing player count
• fixed halving schedule
the game is setting up for a classic supply squeeze meta, where emissions slow faster than new demand enters.
If Fogo Fishing continues adjusting difficulty in cycles, the optimal strategy becomes:
Farm during low-difficulty → Accumulate → Wait for difficulty rebound → Process near peak scarcity.
This is how early grinders achieve asymmetric returns.
@fogo @FogoFishing @im_jowee@RobertSagurton
Just like on Solana, anybody can deploy any game or dApp on Fogo and they make their own decisions, but in this Fogo stress test phase our advice is:
(1) Don’t play - wait for the serious DEX’s and DeFi to come.
(2) Spend the minimum amount to just try out the chain.
(3) if you really want to invest your time and money? Really study the game, its tokenomics and the supply and demand dynamics to optimize and form a strategy, which may include fishing or just buying the token if undervalued. If you don’t do that and blindly throw money into the game, you’ll likely just be frustrated.
I am quickly becoming fascinated with @FogoFishing
We do work with @fogo, the chain itself, but regardless of that I would find this type of game mechanic beyond interesting.
The key things with Fogo make games like this amazing.
- Instant transactions, no waiting for stuff to process
- Gasless transactions, no cost to transact on FogoFishing
- Session permissions, so i dont need to constantly approve transactions, and can set when that resets.
The game feels smooth, no wait, no transaction cost, and i still own all of my assets on Fogo Chain.
--To Start--
Using USDC you purchase a boat, this is the starting point
I personally went out the gates hard and immediatley bought the $10 boat.
- Level 3 fishing rod
- Much higher power
- Uncommon fish, meaning more rewards.
The game mechanics are relatively straight forward.
But it has a nice game theory to it.
Click tiles to cast your fishing rod, each tile has a form of rewards, in this case $FISH tokens. The rarer the catch the more $FISH tokens you receive.
--My Goals--
I personally want to increase my fishing rod as quickly as possible to maximize the amount of tokens i will earn.
I can use my earned $FISH tokens to increase the rod level and get better rewards and higher catch rates.
On top of this, if I want, I can actually swap $FISH for USDC right now on FoGo.
Your rod has wear based on how often you are casting, and it costs USDC to fix, or let time go, for it to repair. So you have two options.
Time or Money.
--Additional Game Considerations--
The thing with this tho, you want to be early to this game, the more players involved the lower the rewards, so its actually ev- i am even sharing this, but i am bullish on Fogo and the dApps on the ecosystem.
They have a bitcoin style halving to the game where $FISH emissions are halved every 14 days. && you are still early. Right now.
Each day the network wide difficulty is adjusted to have a set target of the amount of FISH that is emitted per day.
Dual token model, with USDC ($) and FISH (in game currency that you can swap for USDC)
- USDC is used for Buying a boat.
- USDC is used in combination with FISH to upgrade your rod
- A fixed $0.99 cost to fix your rod once you have deminished the use of it at or below 20% durability
- Buying Supercasts, which give you a time window of durability free casts, you can optomize to try to maximize the cost per return of FISH with this.
----
I've put $200 USDC into the game, and will circle back with where I'm at in a few days as far as spend and strategy update.
@TheBackwoodsSol Releasing points in elite mode after 20 games would be ideal: 200 points or 100 from the battle pass. It encourages more time in the game and balances it out for those with fewer resources.
