I spoke with @INCapChronicle recently about the @closedprimaries initiative.
There's still a lot of work to be done - but we're confident that we can get this over the finish line in the next legislative session.

🚨 It’s official: California donors got their nominee for Indiana Secretary of State.
This fall, Hoosiers will have the chance to close the book on the Bayh political dynasty - and I’m really looking forward to helping make that happen
🚨 Huge. Max Engling says closing Indiana’s primaries is one of his top priorities as Secretary of State.
One of many reasons I’m supporting him. We need a LEADER in that office who can work with our state lawmakers to get this done.
Republican primaries are for Republicans
It’s weird that @GregforIndiana’s campaign manager, @nathangotsch, just two years ago delivered these absolute banger tweets about @BeauBayh’s grandpa.
Indiana’s 2026 primary has revived a long-running question at the Statehouse: Should Indiana close its primaries? #INPol#INlegis

I am proud to endorse my friend Max Engling as our next Indiana Secretary of State. I know Max well, and I trust him to lead, protect our elections, and keep the office in capable Republican hands. Max is the proven conservative leader we need to win this race and serve Hoosiers with integrity.
HOOSIERS ARE TAKING ACTION: In 4 days, hundreds of Hoosiers have signed the petition to close our primary elections.
We’ve had a front-row seat to the outcome of the crossover… incumbents hanging onto their seats by single digit votes.
We’re ready for a change. Add your name to the petition and help us get this to the statehouse next session 👇👇

Hoosiers want closed primaries! Over 100+ Signatures (and counting) since we launched just days ago.
Still haven't signed the petition? Add your name to the growing list of Hoosiers who want to secure our primary elections 👇👇👇

I spoke with @indystar this afternoon about the momentum we’re building to close the primaries.
100+ Hoosiers have signed the petition urging legislators to take action in the 48 hours since we launched.
There’s still a lot of time and work to be done between now and the next legislative session.

Our party should choose its candidates for the General Election. Crossover shouldn't prop up weak candidates that will lose in November.

May 5th was a referendum on those who voted against redistricting. Some of them were spared defeat - with crossover voters likely playing a role.
We're fighting to change that. But we need your help! Sign the petition and tell lawmakers that it's time to #CloseThePrimary

Excellent piece. Indiana needs to close the primaries. The exact reason we launched @closedprimaries - to show legislators what voters want!

It's time to close our Primary elections. Democrats and activist groups prop up weak candidates so they can beat them in November.

Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita is trying to dissolve Third Phase Inc., a Noblesville homeless shelter and nonprofit, over alleged long-term mismanagement and a disputed property sale.
What the state is alleging:
-Third Phase operates a homeless shelter, food pantry, and thrift store (founded in 1980)
-No formal board meetings reported from 2021–2025
-Only consistent staff member has been director Sandra Van Den Berg
-Little to no budgeting, cost tracking, or financial oversight
Main controversy: property sale
-Nonprofit owns ~10 acres in Noblesville
-Proposed sale price: $350,000
-State’s appraisal: about $1.0 million
-Tax assessment: about $1.23 million
-Buyer is MJS Holdings LLC, an entity owned by the nonprofit’s attorney, Mario Massillamany
Mario Massillamany also serves as Chair of the Hamilton County GOP.
Mario is also partners in a law firm with current State Representative Chris Jeter.
What the Attorney General is asking the court to do:
-Dissolve the nonprofit
-Appoint a receiver to take control of assets
-Remove the current board
-Ensure remaining assets are properly transferred to other charities under Indiana law

Democrats are openly bragging that they voted in Indiana’s GOP primary to protect weak incumbents from conservatives.
They tried it in my race last cycle. They lost.
Indiana must close its primaries. Republican primaries are for Republicans. Period.
