They give me Oldhim back and I got to top 8 my first showdown. Shout out to Mat Himmelman for the list he posted for free on Metafy. This deck just eats Kayos. Need to figure out the Ira matchup but everything else was a coin flip at worst. https://t.co/Ex9Yga5Ema
Hey @fabtcg players in the Louisiana and neighboring areas, our Sword Tournament series continues for High Seas this Saturday, July 26 at one of our new locations in Metairie, LA. Come out and have a good time with the community, whether you're a ProQuest winner or not! #fabtcg
I got married tonight to the love of my life. This is my grooms cake as a shout out to the nerdy family both in attendance and around the world. I wouldn't be the goofy loser she fell in love with without y'all
@Straight_Shade@TexasRangerMTG Yeah not sure about other places but in Louisiana if you cut an advertised price like that you might be breaking the law. Tournament entry can be argued to be a contract so terms can't be changed unilaterally once players have paid. Which I let every TO I judge for know
Got big news today. I will be the head judge for the Battle Hardened happening at Laughing Dragon XP: Houston in December. Hope to see as many of you there as possible and lets make this a great event. #fabtcg
@SarahChiyasi@matt_iwnl Agreed its also helpful to be able to offload some of the mental stress of complex calls by having another person to help work through it
@MaskOfMomentum Find you a girl who loves and understands math at a super high level. My fiancรฉe was an algebra teacher when we started dating and is now a university math specialist. Your cardboard hobbies are just math problems in disguise so they're more accepting to it
@DroodHT To me the insurance is a gamble argument settles more on the lack of agency in the "bet." Where in the mtg/poker scenario there are decisions and skill expressions that are present. Even if not gambling insurance companies, at least in the US, operate on questionable ethics
Bringing some flavor from my old game to my current game... Hey, since I can't make PT Amsterdam, I'm hosting a #fabtcg CC event in New Orleans and giving away a sword. Come hang out with us! Event page will be posted soon.
Just bought my tickets to play in the World Premier in Tampa for Rosetta, first large event back as a player since the Calling in Charlotte two years ago. Judging so many high level events in between has made me realize how much I miss being at the competitive tables
Not going to FaB Nats this year is weird.
Wishing the best to my friends competing and hope everyone who is there is enjoying the weekend playing some great games. #fabtcg
@ClassedeBruno@DisneyLorcana TCG companies typically don't comment on secondary market for several reasons (gambling laws, market fluctuation, etc.). That being said at a competitive level $700 is about average or even below for a deck in most major TCGs
