@seethesunshyne Yes, I interpreted the shoulder wound to be at the joint, in which case raising your arm would not lift it up. This is a good thread, though, I just wish I hadn't gotten out so soon due to a misunderstanding of which Just Got Stabbed Tip the tweet was quizzing me on.

Staying on the ground will keep your shoulder wound lower and lead to faster blood loss. You should move into a sitting position so that your wound is above your heart, not level with it or below it.

This should have been the first thing you did. You cannot elevate a shoulder wound without lifting your torso. You would have to sit up.
