With an impending heatwave about to slam the Northeast, it was nice to see a fine Finger Lakes riesling mentioned in @EricAsimov's roundup of recommended bottles to beat the heat. https://t.co/JPva78hy1S
I grew up listening to John Sterling call Yankees games. I fell in love with the team during their magical run in the late 90s and early 2000s and can still remember his most iconic calls of that era. Games won’t be the same without him.
The New York Yankees today announced that legendary Yankees play-by-play radio voice John Sterling, who has called 5,420 regular season Yankees games and 211 postseason Yankees games, is retiring effective immediately. He will be recognized in a pregame ceremony on Saturday, April 20, and will visit the WFAN booth during the game 🎙️💙
Great to see @BeneduceWines featured here. Mike and his team do great work, and they deserve to be the bellwethers of a New Jersey wine industry that’s achieving more and more deserved acclaim. https://t.co/5pWyiwUY97
If you know someone who questions the value of public libraries or dismisses the multiple roles they play within their communities, have them read this. https://t.co/BpA6ttgtwB
Here's a bit of good news: Local bookstores are rebounding, with more that 300 new stores opening in recent years. Even better, they are becoming much more diverse - meeting readers' desires for “real recommendations from real people.” https://t.co/02keIHhCEi
This is fantastic news from the @Interior Department.
It is imperative that our global ecosystems be protected from plastic pollution, and one way to do so is to make single-use plastic less accessible in our own national parks and public lands. https://t.co/0gjCE25Ukk
@hello_margot@VinePair F.L.X. Provisions in both Geneva and Corning, NY. An excellent little bottle shop with a focus on high quality wines from one of the country’s best burgeoning wine regions, in addition to craft beer and spirits. Owned by Master Sommelier Chris Bates.
Awesome to see Bloomer Creek recognized for their sustainable vineyard management efforts. So many producers in @FLXWineCountry could have made this list, but it is much deserved for Kim Engle and his team. https://t.co/CZfL1MvhWM
A bit of good news: Ownership of more than 500 acres of a redwood forest was returned to ten sovereign tribes who will “protect and heal” the land. The area was the hunting, fishing and ceremonial grounds of generations of Indigenous people.

If you’re hoping to find something unexpected and delightful this holiday season, go to the little local shops - especially bookstores - that have survived in the age of online shopping by being quirky and brave. https://t.co/JoSquMvRWA
Okay hear me out: what if publishing was behind taking the Facebook #ServerDown? Feels like some incredible marketing to get people to read and I have to say I am pretty mad I didn't think of it first...
“We need more wineries that are willing to put farming first and marketing second. We have to see wine as having a sense of place, not merely as a product.”
Couldn’t agree more with @BeneduceWines’ sentiments in this conversation with @EdibleJersey. https://t.co/yUoGGJa3hh
