The quality of art that you can make with a few tutorials and free courses still blows me away. Grabbing a pencil is incredible and so much fun, especially when you apply artistic intent to achieve a specific vision. Also when you make the practical armor you love so much

After making my last giant sword girl image I liked the character so much I wanted to do another one with her design.
This image is a good demonstration about artistic intent being applied to AI assisted art because I had it clear in my mind before I started. I knew exactly what I wanted and even guided generations from text to image would never get the exact image I had envisioned no matter how many times I would have tried.

I wanted her holding the giant sword over her shoulder while blowing a kiss with her other hand, almost like she’s teasing us because how easy she’s holding the massive sword. I also wanted her to have a curved back to push out her hips which would emphasize the feminine form.

So to make this image I needed to start with a pose that I made with a 3D model, then using control net I could start to construct the image in stages using Stable Diffusion and lots of Photoshop.
Her expression is also much harder to make with the AI generator, and I needed to sculpt the generated face in Photoshop, puckering the lips in the right way, so the Image generator could even come close to depicting what I wanted.

The quality of art that you can make when assisted with AI still blows me away. This technology is incredible and so much fun, especially when you apply artistic intent to achieve a specific vision.
