There's something that people seem to miss about the whole physical media discontinuation: LOT of game discs don't even have anything on them nowadays, so technically you could be already buying part of a future landfill. Shout out to "Does It Play ?" go there to check your discs

Maybe I'm just dumb, but if there's an OFFICIAL EXAMPLE SCRIPT for changing SPECIFICALLY a CHARACTER'S text position, then using that shouldn't affect an OBJECT'S text position. Since, you know. Both are handled separately.

@WaterMuseum_ I'd be wary of sourcing content like this, make sure you can verify image origins and have some written agreement and licensing terms where people share these (eg: you acknowledge ownership of what you post and share it via creative commons). One bad actor can lead to trouble.

There's something happening in the background where processes can get stuck and stay there no matter what, unless you remove / delete the problematic thing and undo the removal. But good luck finding the cause of the issue.

I remembered today why I haven't touched IDC for 3 years: it's the abundance of random bugs that visionaire studio produces on a whim. Like, you start patching things and the engine hallucinates a new problem, which is fixed if you remove then re-add the exact same fix as is. wut

Fixed the main menu for Internet Detective Club, mainly the back end stuff. At this point I think I need to re-do 70% of how things operate in the background for the game, in order to eliminate nonsensical bugs, but at least I'm getting there. #gamedev #indiegame #indiegamedev
