Imagine the Silence ball that muffles or completely blocks water sounds for 5+ seconds. A lot of crews rely on audio cues to know when to bucket based on the water level, so cutting that off could create some really chaotic moments. Could make for a very interesting curse ball 😅 @S0nicbob
Can we interest you in a Sour Grape Fruit Tea to make your day a bit more magical?✨

@Giovann69642526 That’s fair, but the key difference is this would be opt-in. High reward, high visibility/risk. Players who don’t want PvP can avoid it, but for others it can create fun server-wide fights.
Ok so this was my idea I put forward in the Sea of Thieves survey to make the Dub Crates and Bilge Rats Weekender events a little more exciting...
Voyages could be introduced that place a stronger emphasis on high-value loot runs, with the key twist being that the crates themselves are visibly marked on the world map for all players. Instead of quietly completing objectives and cashing in, crews would knowingly opt into a higher-risk, higher-reward experience where their progress is broadcast to the entire server.
As these voyages progress, the crates could become increasingly valuable the more you stack them, encouraging crews to continue rather than cash out early but at the cost of drawing more attention. Other players would be able to track these marked crates in real time, creating organic PvP hotspots as rival crews intercept, ambush, or race to the same objective.
To deepen the system, different tiers of voyages could affect how visible the crates are lower-tier ones might only ping occasionally or within a limited radius, while top-tier voyages could fully reveal their position at all times, essentially turning the crew into a moving world event. This would naturally create tension, forcing players to balance greed versus survival.
Ultimately, this system would shift voyages from passive grind into dynamic, player-driven encounters where the real challenge isn’t just completing the objective, but surviving the attention that comes with it!!

If anyone deserves the funny blue hat, it’s @WezzyCruze. He exemplifies what it means to #BeMorePirate with his community event every Community Weekend, as well as all around being an excellent human and member of the SoT community. #Wezzy4BlueHat

Following on from my earlier article...it’s incredibly disappointing to see @theburntpeanut hit AGAIN by DDOS attacks while streaming Sea of Thieves.
At this point, you couldn’t blame him or the crew if this is the last time they even attempt to stream the game as he stated. It’s just not worth it for them.
This is a terrible look for both the game and the wider community, not just because it disrupts a stream, but because it sends a message that this kind of behaviour is tolerated. New players see this and think twice about getting involved in our game. Creators who try and help keep the game alive are pushed away. Instead of celebrating the passion and energy around the game, we’re watching it get undermined by a handful of people who just want to ruin it for everyone else. That’s the sad part...the community should be lifting moments like this up, not tearing them down.
On the flip side, it was genuinely great to hear Peanut speak with so much passion about using his own resources to track down those responsible and push for real consequences, even jail time. Something has to change.
Love the change to have Community Weekend starting on Friday and running until Monday. Makes it way easier for more players to get involved across different schedules.
Our next Community Weekend takes place this week and starts, for the first time ever, on Friday! From March 27th-30th (10am UTC), enjoy boosted rewards, login bonuses, Community Goals, a fresh Cake Hunt in honour of our eighth anniversary and more! See you on the seas, pirates.
