Bill Pulte has spent the last year at FHFA abusing his authority to attack President Trump's perceived political enemies, prompting the congressional watchdog to investigate his handling of sensitive financial information.
Today, Trump is rewarding his lackey — who has no national security experience — with a perch atop our nation’s intelligence community.
What could go wrong?
I’m very positive Shai has not shot into the “coworker who doesn’t even watch the NBA but will go out their way to tell you they hate Bron” stratosphere. And I’m more than willing to bet he never will.
My waitress at a sports bar in Bricktown just told me that when Nebraska Basketball fans came to OKC, they tipped her enough in four days to cover two months of her rent.
“That week turned me into a Nebraska fan.”
Oklahoma City belongs to Nebraska fans.
Key Biden-era regulations designed to protect the nation’s drinking water from the most dangerous cancer-causing per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS, have been removed by the Trump administration. https://t.co/yCfj23xnfH
Atrazine is banned in over 60 countries because it's linked to reproductive dysfunction, developmental issues, and probable cancer risks. The EPA just reversed a science determination in 2021 that the herbicide was likely to harm more than 1,000 protected species - saying now it poses no risk. WTF.
The activist American Bar Association—which has long since outlived its credibility as an accrediting organization and has a shameful history of smearing constitutional conservatives, including here in Nebraska—has dropped the final remnant of its backward DEI rules for law schools. Good riddance.
Sadly, the University of Nebraska College of Law established coursework and curricula—some of it mandatory—specifically to meet this discriminatory requirement. That ABA rule was their stated justification.
While some of this nonsense has been rolled back thanks to the anti-discrimination work of @EDSecMcMahon, guidance as to how Nebraska law students can “satisfy Standard 303(c)” remains in @UNLCollegeofLaw course catalog requirements.
Nebraskans expect—and I demand—that the law school will immediately clear out of its coursework, publications, curricula, and catalogs ALL “cross-cultural competence” and related material implemented as a result of these now-obsolete (and always misguided) ABA rules. The weak excuse for this DEI creep within Nebraska’s flagship taxpayer-funded university law college no longer exists.
In Nebraska, “DEI” should only mean: Dedication, Excellence, and Integrity.
Elon Musk’s DOGE “blatantly used” race, gender and other protected characteristics to execute the largest mass termination of federal grants in the history of the National Endowment for the Humanities, a federal judge ruled on Thursday. https://t.co/hwzwfkkLBS
The data center backlash isn’t close to peaking.
At least 20 proposed data centers were cancelled following local opposition in Q1 2026, per new Heatmap Pro data.
That smashes last quarter’s record of 12 canceled projects. The number of contested projects also hit an all-time high last quarter.
The data centers canceled in Q1 represented at least $41.7 billion in investment and at least 3.5 gigawatts of power demand.
Our researchers at @heatmap_news regularly review public records and press accounts, and call every county in the U.S., to produce this exclusive data.

Today’s Supreme Court decision effectively guts a key pillar of the Voting Rights Act, freeing state legislatures to gerrymander legislative districts to systematically dilute and weaken the voting power of racial minorities - so long as they do it under the guise of “partisanship” rather than explicit “racial bias.” And it serves as just one more example of how a majority of the current Court seems intent on abandoning its vital role in ensuring equal participation in our democracy and protecting the rights of minority groups against majority overreach.
The good news is that such setbacks can be overcome. But that will only happen if citizens across the country who cherish our democratic ideals continue to mobilize and vote in record numbers - not just in the upcoming midterms or in high profile races, but in every election and every level.
