@MobileSuitBoris idk, but I'd guess it might have to do w/ a history of chromaticism, use of Octatonic scale, and percussion in traditional Indonesian music thats also prevalent in BDM and not really any other modern music. Not sure if thats a valid assertion but makes sense to me.
