What is the most desperate thing youβve done to try to get in touch with a recruiter that ghosted you?
ππ Iβll go first: I found the office number for the recruiter, called the front desk, asked for the recruiter and then hung up cause I got scared https://t.co/dieBYwuFeb
π£ FYI: It is possible to pass a technical interview with a few errors in your code if youβve talked out your process and the interviewer knows you know what youβre doing! However, error with no explanation is an automatic no β

Waiting to get an interview can feel like a lifetime! While you wait:
- keep applying to other jobs
- network (because you never know who could make your process smoother)
- follow up with recruiter (not too many times π )
- revise your resume https://t.co/AJjlxMCkaZ
Preparing for a FAANG technical interview part 1
#4. EFFICIENCY-you are being tested on your ability to be efficient! Optimized code reduces things like run time. Could you have written that 10 line of code in 3 lines? Did you need to add in a fancy loop or did you just want to?
Preparing for FAAN technical interviews part 1:
#3. π₯ Practice - sites like Leetcode and hackerrank are phenomenal for practicing your programming and they have their practice problems ranked by difficulty level! Itβs important to practice A LOT because you will be coding live!
Preparing for FAANG technical interviews part 1
#2. Know the logic- donβt jump straight to programming. Understand the βwhyβ before you learn the how! You will have to talk through what you did and why you did it! You might have to whiteboard during the interview, be ready!
Preparing for FAANG technical interviews part 1:
#1. Research what to expect - start with the JD to understand what you will be doing, then use glassdoor or blind to see what other interviewers experienced. What types of coding challenges did they have? etc.
Women, black women, are leaders. We are analytical, we are go-to people, we are SMEs, we are smart, we are innovative, we can buildβ¦ we are EVERYTHING π₯ that is allβ¦ carry on
It has been so long since I wrote a career blog post, but I felt compelled to write and publish this today π€

π£ If you were hiring a nanny for your child. Would you want someone who took a course but has no experience watching children? Or someone who took a course AND has experience watching children?
Experience in addition to certs = competitive https://t.co/VWSaxavub9
@kingraybenn I sure did! There are apps like @TeamBlind and websites like @Glassdoor where several people have included their salary and/offer information! Other than that, I also had some people who I trust that shared their salary info with me!
I was able to negotiate a 55% salary increase with great equity and a sign on bonus because I did my research. Donβt use your former salary as a data point, use market value!
